MONSTERS’ PARTY [THE CAKE]
To make the sponge cake I used:
- 8 eggs
- 400 gr. of sugar
- 2 glass of oil
- 600 gr of flour
- 30 gr. baking powder
- half glass of milk
- food coloring
Here’s how to proceed:
- Whip eggs and sugar.
- Whisk oil and continue whipping.
- Integrate flour one spoon at a time.
- Add baking powder.
- Add milk as needed to get a creamy paste.
- Divide in 4 parts and add different food coloring to each.
- Pour one part in a baking pan 10 cm diameter (this will be the top of the cake)
- The other three parts should bake in a pan 20 cm.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 180° C
Once you have you 4 sponge cakes ready you can start assembling and decorating them. For the decoration you will need various colors of fondant (I bought it here) and butter cream. As for the instructions, I followed this video, and highly recommend it: it’s worth a thousands words!
